I travel a lot so I get to spend way too much time in Hotel rooms and I get bored very easily. For me the best way to kill boredom is a photoshoot 🙂 and I love shooting in Hotels/Motels. Every Hotel/Motel has a different vibe and I like to light it to enhance the feeling I get out of the room. During the day I like to use direct daylight and ambient daylight and at night the lights in the room or on camera flash. After I decide on the lighting I then try to put that emotion into the styling and the model. Sometimes all it takes is an awesome model, music, a bed sheet and a bottle of Jack. These are from a recent trip to Adelaide With Natascha Verkaik

Absolutely beautiful work Peter. Natascha is always a pleasure to see, you capture her so well.
OK no fair, the last time I was carrying a camera and bored in a hotel room I tried taking photos into the night without a tripod, you on the other hand photographed one of Australias most beautiful women. Gee, sometimes it sucks to be you…
As always Peter, simply beautiful work!
Hi Peter,
Seeing this reminds me of the days of old, when I used to travel a lot. Also brings back memories of a shoot I saw of J Fredrick Smith.. he was great at capturing hotel/motel shoots with his models…
Thanks for sharing and Natascha couldn’t take a bad photo if you paid her and same goes for you…
Weeping quietly that I never became a photographer.
Natascha vs Adelaide: who gets your attention? That’s not a real question. What they call rhetorical.
