I was honred to be asked to shoot Christina Milian for the September 2012 Cover story of Cielo Magazine. Christina Milian is much better known as a R & B singer/Actress than a fashion model so I was looking forward to the challenge and to work with her. We did the shoot in a small props warehouse in North Hollywood, the shooting area was only 4 x 4 meters and for lighting we had two 22,000 watt tungsten lights, this gave me f5.6 at 1/160 sec and ISO 100, it also gave me 44,000 watts of heat 🙁 All I can say is Christina Milian is one of the most professional people I have had the pleasure to work with. The shoot went for over 12 hours with 6 complete hair and make-up changes and all that working in a very claustrophobic oven like studio without a single complaint, and on top of that on the last look we poured paint over her. But what really blew me away was at the end of all this she cleaned of all the paint, did another hair and Make-up change, went back into the oven and put on my 30 year old Levi 501’s and did a shoot for my ” In My Pants” book to raise money for cancer. Thank you so much to all the crew and especially Christina and her mum. Now that the magazine has sold out in Australia here is a little bit of what we did + a BTS shot.
